J&D’s Foods’ quest to make everything taste like bacon has reached the end—literally. The company, which is known for its Bacon Salt, Baconnaise and, most recently, baconlube (yes, that is what you think it is), has taken bacon-loving to the next life with J&D’s Bacon Coffin.

    Chef Dylan Giordan Settles in at bin on the lake

    Dylan Giordan, whose recent posts include Seattle restaurants Serafina and Cicchetti, was hired as chef de cuisine at bin on the lake this winter. Giordan brings a wealth of experience overall, particularly with European flavors (he jokes he was "mad at his parents for not being Spanish").

    The success of Bradley Dickinson and Mikel Rogers' Pearl Bar and Dining next to the Westin in Bellevue has led the business partners to set their eyes on growth. Koral, a modern American tavern, is an indicator of the partners' recent restaurant success. Their new spot is located in the space once occupied by 0/8 Seafood Grill in the Hyatt Regency Bellevue.

    Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and IHOP restaurants are celebrating National Pancake Day with free buttermilk pancakes! On Tuesday, February 28 from 7 am to 10 pm IHOP will be offering a free short stack to each guest and, in return, diners will be asked to make a voluntary donation to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and other local charities.

    MOD Pizza has always served Hostess Ding Dongs, bringing delicious, cream-filled nostalgia to their older customers and delighting the younger ones. Now, MOD Pizza and the entire United States face the loss of the Ding Dong as Hostess files for bankruptcy. The popular pizza parlor has decided to do something about it, and is selling Ding Dongs at half off through February in an attempt to generate high Hostess sales.
